Thank you for all your participation! It was really fun to learn about your mom's favorite dish. So result is in. There's something that I didn't mention about my mom is she LOVES  LOVES cheese and chiles so the winner is Amy with her Chiles Rellenos. I probably don't even need to remove seeds from the chile because this is how spicy she likes her food-Thank you Amy for your suggestions.

Mother's day dishes / GIVEAWAY

My mom lives in Taiwan so I never got the chance to really do something special for her on a mother's Day. But she is visiting in June and I'd like to cook up a storm for her (she's vegetarian but not vegan). So for this giveaway all you need to do is tell me what your mom's favorite dish (recipe) is. ONE winner will be chosen on Sunday, May 5th at 11am EDT. This giveaway is open to addresses worldwide. One entry per person.

The giveaway contains four shades of sea blue porcelain dish. These dishes are great for spices, hors d’oeuvre, rings, paper clips, bobby pins... Each dish is slip cast and carefully pinched on the edge, each one of them is unique but sits well along others. They measure approx. diam. 3-1/4" x 3/4" H (diam. 8.3 x 1.9cm H). They have a glazed interior. The exterior is left unglazed and smoothed to a velvety touch. They are dishwasher safe but hand washing preferred and designed and made in Montreal, Canada. The retail value is $96.

In 9 days,  I will exhibit at the designboom mart at the IDS - interior design show 2013 (in 9 days)-Yey!!! It's my first time and I can't wait :) After visiting designboom mart, you can take a tour to Do Design event which "will turn storefronts on Dundas Street West between Bathurst Street and Shaw Street, into exhibition venues for design objects. Happening in conjunction with Toronto design week and the Toronto Interior Design Show, Do Design’s unique format provides an alternative way to see and discover design in the city. The visitor’s experience is shaped in and between the event’s diverse range of host venues, which includes boutiques, cafés, restaurants, a pharmacy, a hardware store, beauty parlors, and a dentist’s office. Most pieces will be visible from the street and may be viewed outside of opening hours. Admission is free."

Designlump will have window display at Caffe Brasiliano, 849 Dundas St W. 

Apparently the coffee and food it's really so drop by!

About two weeks ago, I left my wonderful and challenging job from Fleurco to start anew and pursue my own business, with emphasis on handcrafted design tableware made in Quebec. It's a leap of faith but a risk that I'm willing to take... Therefore I'm going to focus on my new product line and going to have very little post on the blog.
